Green Bay, WI
Plae Bistro is the perfect blend of casual comfort and big-city dining right in Green Bay. Opened in 2007 by Jill Bassett, the name—“A Place to Laugh and Eat”—sums it up perfectly. It’s a spot where you can kick back and enjoy fresh, health-conscious American cuisine in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re grabbing lunch or settling in for dinner, the menu is packed with creative, delicious options, and the full bar and wine selection don’t hurt either. In the summer, their patio is the place to be, giving you the perfect excuse to soak up the sun while enjoying an amazing meal.
We tried the Chef’s Table for dinner, and it was such a cool experience—each dish was thoughtful and full of flavor. It really made the night feel special. That said, lunch at Plae is just as solid, with lighter, fresh options that are perfect for a casual midday bite. The vibe here is always welcoming, so even if it’s your first visit, you’ll feel like a regular in no time. If you’re looking for a spot that’s laid-back but still feels a little fancy, Plae Bistro is definitely it.
